Chinese Dragon

So what does a Chinese dragon–a very cute chinese dragon–have to do with a blog about mindfulness, diabetes etc.? I’ve been thinking about what I said in my About page- that I’m more than my condition and that everything I do with passionate interest contributes to my health and wellbeing.

So besides giving presentations, workshops and talks on nutritional topics, mindfulness techniques and food preparation, I’m a fiction writer, poet, fine artist and illustrator. As an illustrator, I contribute stock illustration images to I’m on a roll with political illustrations, esp images focused on the corrupting influence of money in our political system.

The art director rejected this Chinese dragon as too roughly drawn (Ignore the tape–most of my work is a combination of collage and drawing and I don’t paste anything down until I get the OK). I like the rough quality but…
